The Yale Cabaret has mounted Grease 2 as a stage musical.

My world has just gotten 10 million times brighter.

Believe me - you REALLY want to make these. Unless you're a vegetarian. In which case... move along. Nothing to see here.

This is slightly old news, but I wasn't aware of it until today. Apparently, Fox has greenlit a new sci-fi western:

"What I'm really interested in is the revamping of the Western genre where you still have all of the iconic Western themes and iconic Western tropes but the idea is that it will feel incredibly contemporary and will introduce the Western to a whole new generation."

Well. Isn't that a fresh and interesting idea. Certainly not one we've ever seen before. Especially not on the Fox network.

Pardon me while I go plan the slow and painful deaths of some television executives.

I get some fairly... interesting promotional emails from vendors from time to time. Usually I delete and move on, but I need to to share this one. For it involves "the only hand painted leaf studio/manufacturer in the world". Apparently, they collect leaves. Then they paint on them:

"We are confident you will be impressed by the beauty and detailed quality of our leave paintings. Preservation of leaf and painting on it are life time guaranteed because of the 60 multi-channel working procedures that creates this unique artistic work. Each leaf painting is in oil and aquarelle and placed in a 10.2” x 11.8” frame. All Shuiqin leaves are hand painted, therefore not prints." (Emphasis theirs. Of course.)

Ah, yes. I seem to remember DaVinci writing (backwards) often of his 60 multi-channel working procedures. Such a breakthrough in artistic technique! It's all very exciting.

You can have your own Van Gogh!

Or Britney!

And longtimegone ? This is what you're getting on your next birthday:

You're welcome.

I wondered how long it would take for the internet to spontaneously create this.

I'm prrrrrrreeeeeeety sure I need one of these:

It's a charging station! Maybe it's just me (yes, Amy - it's just you), but I think my day would begin a little brighter if I plucked my phone & ipod out of a patch of grass.
